Parental Involvement

 

 

Through active participation we want parents to have:

·       The opportunity to have an input in decision making processes.

·       Opportunities to influence decisions that affect their children.

·       Opportunities to be involved in development and monitoring our service.

·       Opportunities to be actively involved in the development of the nursery to ensure we provide a high quality service.

·       All parents will be treated with respect in an environment which has an ethos of inclusion.

 

Parents and families can participate in the following ways:

       ·Questionnaires

       ·Evaluation sheets

       ·End of plan evaluation

       ·Comment wall

       ·Translator service

       ·Newsletter’s

       ·Curriculum planning information

  • Taking part in the parents group
  • Attending classes such as sewing, first aid, jewellery making.
  • Taking part in nursery outings.
  • Helping with the outdoor area such as planting etc.
  • Sharing your views and helping us to improve our work.
  • Contributing to children's learning books and sharing their learning from home.

We also welcome the views of parents and families to help us create effective partnership working.

We value parents as the child‘s first educator and we encourage you to play a full and active role in your child‘s education whilst at Dennistoun Early Years Centre.
