Welcome to the 3 to 5 Room

Throughout the 3 to 5 room and outdoors we have clearly defined areas for learning. The staff team carefully plan the environment, space, resources and equipment with an aim to stimulate children's curiosity, motivate children and engage children in challenging learning experiences. The environments are organised in a way that children have opportunties to make choices, be independent and take responsibility.

"Children learn best when all areas of an integrated, carefully planned, curriculum are implemented informally using methodologies that are interactive, practical and enjoyable. Children should have opportunities to experience much of their learning though well planned and challenging play". (CCEA, 2003, p. 7)
