How do you find out if your child is eligible for a funded place?

Please click here to check your child's eligibility for a 2 year old funded place.

In Scotland, all children aged 3 or 4 years old and some 2 year olds are entitled to a part-time, funded nursery place in either a Council nursery, or in a nursery or playgroup which has a partnership contract with the Council.

It is not always possible to guarantee that this place will be in your first choice of nursery.

How many hours are funded?

Places are for up to 30 hours per week (1140 hours term time) and are across all of the nurseries in Glasgow. These hours can be offered in a wide variety of patterns to suit the needs of families.

If your child is offered a full day place, you can access a maximum of  funded 10 hours per day / 30 funded hours per week term time (38 weeks) and 22.8 hours non term time (50 weeks) throughout the academic year.
